The Board employs staff to fulfil the day to day management of professional tasks within the Association and to advance the educational interest of its children.
The Role of the Kindergarten Support Group The Kindergarten Support Group operates under an Association By Law and membership is open to parents whanau of children attending or on the waiting list of the kindergarten and people within the kindergarten community who express an interest in supporting the kindergarten. The activities of the Kindergarten Support Group work in partnership with the Head Teacher and teaching team to assist with Promoting the kindergarten to families and the wider community. The Kindergarten Support Group Representative is elected by the Kindergarten Support Group to be a member of the Counties Manukau Kindergarten Association with speaking and voting rights at the Counties Manukau Kindergarten Association Annual General and Special meetings. Be loyal to the Association and kindergartens recognising that Board members represent the Association as a whole rather than individual kindergartens.
Professional Practice Managers provide professional and educational leadership to kindergartens and work as part of the management team in support of the Association’s vision and values. The Association istration Team, led by the Finance and istration Manager, supports the day to day operations of the Association and member kindergartens. The Head Teacher is the day to day manager of the kindergarten within the delegations established by the General Manager. The Head Teacher has overall responsibility for leadership of the teaching team, and is required to provide professional leadership in an environment that empowers children, staff, families and whanau.
ensure high quality early childhood care and education is provided for every child in the kindergarten. Kindergartens employ support staff to carry out various tasks that support the work of the teaching team and the individual needs of the kindergarten. Teacher Aides these people provide support to the teaching team, the kindergarten programme and the learning outcomes for children. We currently can only consider applications from people who meet the following criteria . are studying towards a recognised early childhood teaching qualification or have other relevant experience in early childhood settings.

You have undertaken recent professional development or study that has provided you with current knowledge of theory and practice in Early Childhood education. You can also work in our Early Learning Centres based in Wattle Downs, Manurewa and Takanini, which operate full day care and education programmes for children aged 6 months 5 years, and can work 9 hour days with start and finish times between 7. 30pm and a one hour lunch break. To be the best not for profit early childhood provider, in partnership with parents, wh nau and community recognising children as the heart of all we do. The government provides this funding for 3 and 4 year old children while Counties Manukau Kindergarten Association provides this funding for 2 year old children who attend as well. In our Early Learning Centres this funding is available for 3 and 4 year old children only.
