In the 1930s Kimberly Clark began local manufacture of feminine care products and the import of Kleenex facial tissues. Head Office sales and distribution is located in Manukau, Auckland, with a regional office in Christchurch. Millicent mill started up its first creped wadding machine in 1960 to produce facial tissue. Albury Mill located along the Murray River in New South Wales began operations in 1987, producing nonwoven materials used in Huggies Nappies and Kimberly Clark Healthcare products.
Tantanoola Pulp mill in South Australia was commissioned in 1992 to produce bleached pulp from plantation radiata pine trees for tissue products, nappies, feminine care and adult care products. Lonsdale mill in Adelaide was commissioned in 1989 to produce nappies, feminine care, and adult care products and ceased operation in 2006. Warwick Farm mill in Sydney was a converting operation for a diverse range of products for the Kimberly Clark Professional, Family Care, and Health Care markets
I then had the opportunity to become Assistant Brand Manager, Baby Concern to work on market leading Huggins Nappies. Our leading consumer brands like the Kleenex, Huggins, VIVA, Kleenex Cottonelle, U by Kotex, Poise, Depend and smugglers brands improve the lives of people around the world.
I was promoted into the Brand Manager role where I was responsible for I look behind the day to day marketing of the Huggins Baby Wipes and Huggins Insignificant Swimmers brands. Kimberly Clark Marketing teams manage our leading brands, ensuring we are representing the Kimberly Clark products in the superior way we can and creating brands that consumer want to buy time and time again. Kimberly Clark places graduates in our marketing teams, engineering teams and our consumer sales teams. Our innovative marketing strategies cover advertising, packaging, product development, consumer and customer promotions, online communications, market research and new product launches.
Kimberly Clark's global brands are leading the world in essentials for a better life. Shana joins the Fresh Zealand business from Kimberly Clark Australia, where she initially held the position of Head of Category Development, before stepping into the role of Accounts Director. Scott Paper is the first paper producer to advertise bathroom tissue on national television. The Kimberly Clark Consumer Sales team services and sells our market leading consumer brands to the retail market channels and is made up of a winning team of Strategic Customer and Account Managers, Field Operations Managers, Territory Managers and Category Development Managers.
