Machinery Movers worked with Tranzcarr on the project awarded by Siemens to transport and install 8 x 236tonne Transformers into Hayward Sub Station North of Wellington and Kenmore Sub Station Central Otago. The premises located in South Auckland, at Manukau, is CPI approved and competent staff present the services of inspections as healthy as packing and unpacking machinery, from containers and flat racks. This equipment is also qualified for busy inside factories and buildings, with limited height access. We are New Zealand expansive and International operators providing a long range of logistical services for machinery moving including Extraction, Transportation and Installation.
Machinery Movers occupied with Tranzcarr Heavy Haulage was awarded the transportation contract for Meridian Energy’s Wind Farm at Makara west of Wellington, obvious as Project West Wind’. This was lifted 10 meres up from ground slick and then propelled with the Lift n Lock Hydraulic Gantry system, owned and operated by Machinery Movers. Machinery Movers has the largest fleet of fork hoists, qualified of handling any situation. This equipment is also capable for active inside factories and buildings, with limited height access.
For the Kenmore site in Otago the four units were offloaded at the Timaru Port and road hauled to Kenmore. This covers little factory plant and machinery removal through to handling important and thick equipment. The project included transport of all thick equipment, ex Port of Wellington, to site. Machinery Movers also had to offload and store the transformers into position using the Hydraulic lift n lock’ Gantry system together with their Hydraulic Skidding system.
Machinery Movers own and operate a fleet of Franny Cranes, up to 20 tonne capacity, along with truck mounted cranes. The Machinery Movers hydraulic gantry system was then worn to walk the press units into the factory and end position. Machinery Movers operate the largest and most diversified fleet of specialized trailers to cater for the construction industry. For long distance and international projects the Gantry system is efficiently transported in custom built containers.
Working in live switch yards, needed the transformers to be jacked and skidded, using hydraulic pushing rams. A critical component of the contract was the movement of two transformers from the Port of Wellington, each with a weight approaching 100 tonnes
