What you should know about Tauranga Intermediate
The Board is committed to ensuring students at Tauranga Intermediate has the superior learning opportunities during their time at the school. I have been Principal of our school since 1994 and came to Tauranga Intermediate when the school roll was 610. These many opportunities permit students to compete against the elite in their chosen sport or to just become involved and retain active. Students attend the lodge for a five day camp in Year Seven and again in Year Eight and will be faced with a challenging programmed provided by our Head of Outdoor Education Mr Gerry Hart. Opportunity is offered to you to be involved in a variety of performing groups which reflect the combine of cultures within our school.
When your student becomes portion of our Tauranga Intermediate family, they become piece of an international community. This is my third term on the Board at Dis, and I have enjoyed being qualified to contribute to our children’s educational success. We are extremely fortunate to have a committed group of staff members who are passionate about providing rich sporting opportunities for our students. Our school has set fees that are essential for us to implement the services we provide.
Annual enhancements to the lodge make it a state of the art center for our outdoor education programmed, promoting adventure based activities where our motto is challenge through encouragement’. The boards role is to ensure all students are given the opportunity to arrive tall levels of personal achievement and participate in considerable academic, sporting, cultural and arts activities offered by the school. Each term there is many sports offered to our students both at school and through exterior providers. You will have the opportunity to be involved in a major musical production and arts week.
Tauranga Intermediate is a progressive school with over 1,100 students in the 11 to 13 year age group. Learning before to their Ngamuwahine Experience focuses on equipping students with the knowledge and skills they require to have an enjoyable experience. Tauranga Intermediate School is strongly supported by the governance of its Board of Trustees. Sport is an extremely urgent segment of the culture of Tauranga Intermediate School.
Parents of Contributing School students who wish to enroll their children at Tauranga Intermediate are requested to fill in the enrollment card and istration forms when received and return them to their Year Six teacher. Parents who wish to have interviews may phone for an appointment with Kathy Colville Deputy Principal, prior to November. Mickie is also chairman of the Ngamuwahine Believe that isters Ngamuwahine Lodge, Tauranga Intermediate Schools Outdoor Education facility and is the Deputy Chairperson of the Tauranga Intermediate School Board of Trustees. I am married and have a 9 year worn daughter, Shakira, who attends Tauranga Primary School.
I enjoy working with and assisting the Board in the ongoing win of Tauranga Intermediate School, that it continues to produce the very superior environment, facilities, resources available, and opportunity, in both teaching and learning, for students, teachers and urge staff, here today and into the future
